Faith Respon At Risk
Faith response at risk ~ The foundation of God's word for the theme of faith response at risk is taken from the book of 1 Kings. Thus said the Lord: "But Elijah said to him, "Do not be afraid, go home, make it as you say, but first make me a small loaf of bread out of it, and bring it to me, and then you will make it for you and for your son" - 1 Kings 17:13.
Life is actually full of many stories related to the courage to take risks. People who want to learn to ride a bicycle without courage have probably never ridden a bicycle before.
Without courage, one never dares to cross even a fairly busy street. People who tend to be cowardly seem to feel that it is impossible to succeed in business because often business people have to deal with failure.
Sarpat's widow also showed extraordinary courage when she heard the prophet's request to make bread for her. Granted, what Elijah asked for was not much, but at the time it seemed especially difficult because the widow had nothing but what she wanted to work on.
However, after hearing Elijah's prophecy, the widow obeyed Elijah's words. Faith was able to return to her heart, so she dared to take risks, because she and her children could die if Elijah's promise was not fulfilled.
However, God apparently saw the widow's faith, courage and sacrifice, that is what happened according to Elijah's prophecy (vv. 15-16). Do we now think about the potential risks associated with such a difficult decision?
Ask for God's intervention and the courage to take risks, not forgetting the need to make careful calculations. Who knows with our courage to take risks, we will experience great success.
Have a good day, keep the spirit and always rely on the Lord Jesus. May the Lord Jesus bless our life, family, work and ministry together. Amen…
