Spritual Adult Respect The Bad Things In Life

Spiritual Adults Respect the Bad Things in Life ~ The foundation of God’s word for the theme of our meditation, is taken from the book of Genesis. Thus said the Lord: “You plotted evil against me, but God planned it for good, in order to preserve what is happening now - the life of the great nation” – Genesis 50:20. Many things that happened to Yusuf were beyond his control. He was thrown into a well, sold into slavery, imprisoned, and eventually became the ruler of Egypt. All against Joseph's will. Influence Joseph? Of course!
He had to go through a lot of bad things before finally becoming the ruler of Egypt. But none of this defines Joseph as a human. What characterizes Joseph as a human is his attitude to what happened. If he wanted, he could take revenge on his brothers for their crimes. However, he chose to interpret everything that happened to him positively (v. 20) and decided to continue to love his brothers (v. 21). His attitude describes who he really is. Like Joseph, many of us have no control over what happens to us. Many things happen outside of our will and control. We cannot always choose or control what happens to us. However, we always have the ability to control and choose our attitudes. When bad things happen, we can always choose our attitude towards them. Are you angry or ready to accept it? Forgive with vengeance or wholeheartedly. Keep your distance or hug. Try to endure the resulting trauma or move on. Life events can affect us. Ultimately, however, it is our response to events that define who we are as human beings, whether we are slaves to negative life-destroying drives or defenders of life's virtues. Have a nice day. Stay healthy and always rely on the Lord Jesus. May the Lord Jesus bless our lives, our families, our work and our ministry. Amen.
