Admiration, Love And Wholehearted Devotion

Admiration, love and wholehearted devotion ~ The foundation of God's word for this theme of our meditation; is taken from the book of the Song of Songs. Thus the word of God: “You are beautiful, beloved, like the city of Tirzah, as beautiful as Jerusalem, and terrible as an army with a banner” - Song of Songs 6:4.

You are beautiful my dear Indeed, very pleasant compliments sound in a woman's ear. Solomon praised his wife. He said, “You are beautiful, just like the city of Tirzah.”

The city of Tirzah (used by Solomon to describe the beauty of his wife) is an ancient Canaanite city known for its beauty. Solomon did more than praise his loved ones. He also explained how much he loves one woman among all others, stating, “But she is my only love and dream.”

While studying Solomon’s praise, I realized that his words contain three elements: admiration, compassion, and devotion. And Solomon’s praise of his wife shows how much God loves His people. God honours His people and shows how dear they are to His heart.

“I love you like the apple of my eye,” he said. Again, God’s dedication to love us is by no means eternal. Human love is timeless, but God's love never changes. In fact, Jesus showed his devotion to love by not sparing his only son and sacrificing himself to save those of us who love him.

Indeed, our lives are too precious in God’s eyes. He paints on our palms because he always wants to see us and express his love. We must also respond to God's great love with the same determination to live in love for Him.

Have a nice day. Stay healthy and always rely on the Lord Jesus. May the Lord Jesus bless our lives, our families, our work and our ministry. Amen…
