Will You Be Cured ?

Will you be cured? The foundation of God’s word for the theme of our meditation is taken from the Gospel of John. This is what God says: “When Jesus saw the man lying there, knowing that he had been in that state for a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to get well? John 5:6.

Failure to achieve goals and fulfil expectations can make us very disappointed. Especially if no one supports us when we are in trouble. It hurts even more when it turns out that everyone blames us.

However, continuing to sink into annoyance makes us never rise from anger. An outburst of annoyance actually drives other people away. The less likely we are to get help and compassion.

Disappointment was also experienced by the sick who waited by the Bethesda pool. Thirty-eight years of being sick is not an easy thing to live with. The frustration grew when no one was willing to accompany him patiently and help him get into the pool.

Disappointment that lasts a long time makes the sick hopeless. Under these circumstances, Jesus actually approached him. But Jesus’ question seemed strange: “Will you be healed?” Jesus also ordered him to pick up the mat and walk, even though it was the Sabbath.

God uses a different method of recovery than the sick person ever imagined. The condition is that he must follow orders without asking too many questions. Also promises that there will be real repentance from sin.

Recovery requires a strong will to heal. There are also changes in attitudes and perspectives. Healing does not have to happen physically. Also, not the same as we imagine.

The time is not certain. What is required of us is to do whatever He commands. Also, don’t grumble while continuing to maintain the holiness of life.

Have a good day, keep the spirit, and always rely on the Lord Jesus. May the Lord Jesus bless our lives, families, work, and ministry. Amen…
